Digital Marketing

The Digital Marketing training program is comprised of “An Introduction to e-Commerce Marketing with Shopify” and “Customer Acquisition with Google, Instagram, and Facebook”. Learners will build a webstore via the industry’s leading e-Commerce platform, Shopify. Then, they will learn to grow the business through customer acquisition with the globe’s most significant search engine and social media advertising platforms, using real-life marketing case studies from Facebook, Instagram, Google, Amazon and more. Upon completion, the learner is eligible to sit for the Shopify Certification exam, and will be Google AdWords and Facebook Advertising certified. This program is 100% online with weekly synchronous live lab sessions.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solutions Architect

The workforce preparation course is focused on the Solutions Architect Associate certification. Students can use this course as preparation leading to the certification or keeping the certification up to date. The preparation is designed to be a continued validation of one’s expertise and a tool to expand one’s skills. Preparation includes practice tests and assignments based on the certification exam.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Practitioner

The AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner examination is intended for individuals who have the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively demonstrate an overall understanding of the AWS Cloud, independent of specific technical roles addressed by other AWS Certifications.

CompTIA Cloud+

CompTIA Cloud+ is a global certification that validates the skills needed to deploy and automate secure cloud environments that support the high availability of business systems and data. CompTIA Cloud+ validates the technical skills needed to secure these valuable assets covers the increased diversity of knowledge, skills and abilities required of system administrators to validate what is necessary to perform effectively in data center jobs.

Commercial Drivers License (CDL+)

Ivy Tech’s CDL+ program is a 18-credit-hour certificate that can be completed in one semester. Students will have 160 hours of training, which prepares them to become a Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) holder. The program includes 121 hours of operating observation, 30 hours of behind-the-wheel skill development, an 8-week internship, an overview of logistics and transportation which includes all types of trucking operations including intermodal processes. There is also a focus on professionalism and customer service.

Coding Technology

Coding Technology is an 18 credit hour program that trains students to code medical information using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS in the health care setting. Medical coding guidelines also covered as part of the program as well as billing and reimbursement concepts for commercial insurance carriers, Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, and Workers Compensation. Upon completion of the certificate, students are eligible to sit for the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) exam administered by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) or for the Certified Coding Specialist-Physician (CCS-P) exam administered by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Work experience in a health care setting is recommended but not required prior to taking either of these exams.

Routing and Switching

Routing and Switching certificate (CT) Leads to certifications in the Network Infrastructure field including CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician, and Cisco Certified Network Associate. Short-term certificates are sequences of technical and professional courses that are industry focused and designed for workforce preparation. They provide access to targeted, short-term training in a discipline, and completers may sit for specific certification exams. Courses in certificate programs also apply toward technical certificates and associate degree programs in the subject area.

Addiction Studies

The Addiction Studies certificate (CT) prepares students to be direct care professionals in the mental health industry, specifically for drug abusers and addicts. Students learn how to listen, interview and provide feedback, and are prepared to further their education as future social workers and counselors.

Medical Scribe Professional

A medical scribe specializes in charting physician-patient encounters in real-time. The also locate information and patients for physicians and complete forms as needed. Medical scribes are in high demand. Completing this program will allow a student to be designated as an Apprentice Medical Scribe Professional (AMSP) – by American Healthcare Documentation Professionals Group. Students may remove apprentice status once they have completed 200 hours as a medical scribe, and then have the credential of Certified Medical Scribe Professional (CMSP). This 18 credit hour certificate (CT) prepares students to become a certified Medical Scribe. Medical Scribe is an emerging area and is in high demand. Students are required to complete an internship as part of the program.

Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing

The Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Certificate prepares students for the entry level manufacturing operator positions in the drug product manufacturing industry such as Catalent, Baxter and Eli Lilly.  The Certificate provides technological training in the areas of cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), GDP (Good Documentation Practices), FDA audits, quality practices, work safety, regulatory compliances, drug formulation principles, aseptic drug filling operations, visual inspection, freeze-drying operations, packaging, drug stability testing, and includes the six sigma white belt and OSHA 10 certifications.  The 18 credits in the certificate (CT) also count towards the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Biotechnology.
