The Administrative Customer Support program will prepare individuals for a successful career in administrative support and customer service. This 6-week program is comprised of 5 courses to build a strong basis for any customer-facing career. Individuals will learn the fundamentals of Customer Service by completing two modules aligned with standards set forth by the Professional Association for Customer Engagement (PACE). Level I of the training is designed to be transferrable to any position, across virtually any industry. Level II further builds on the skills gained in the first course but expands into new topics that focus on Sales, Communication and Phone Skills. Successfully completing these courses will lead to certification as Customer Service Certified (CSC). In addition to the CSC and Microsoft certification, you will have the opportunity to gain the IT Fundamentals certification sponsored by CompTIA. The training for this certification is designed for any individual exposed to technology in the office environment and provides a great knowledge base beneficial to anyone, with or without a background in IT. Once you’ve completed the program you’ll be prepared to earn two national certifications, the CSC through the Professional Association for Customer Engagement (PACE) and the ITF+ through CompTIA. These National Certifications also demonstrate your expertise in performing customer support protocols and IT functions in any office administration setting.
This course is designed to expose the student to as many learning domains and skills as possible to enhance skill-building and knowledge retention. Upon successful completion of the course, students qualify for both state and national certification testing. The curriculum and syllabus conform to the EMT National Standards Curriculum developed by the U.S. Department of Transportation. Prerequisites: American Heart Association BLS CPR Certification. Must be BLS. The first class session will consist of a CPR class for those not previously certified. Registration for Fall 2021 opens April 1st!
The Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addiction and the Indiana State Department of Health have jointly approved a training and certification process for the Indiana Community Health Worker Program. ASPIN is certified to provide this training online. Upon completion of the 20 hour online training, and passing a final examination, each participant will be certified as a Community Health Worker eligible for employment in organizations serving families, the elderly, children and youth including outpatient medical / behavioral providers, hospitals, medical clinics, schools, churches and community centers.
The CCHW is a front-line public health worker who is a trusted member of and/or has an unusually close understanding of the community served. This trusting relationship enables the CCHW to serve as a liaison/link/intermediary between health/social services and the community to facilitate access to services and improve the quality and cultural competence or service delivery. Upon completion of the 15-hour online Adult Education Literacy lessons, 30-hour online workforce training, and passing the final examinations, each participant will be certified as a Community Health Worker eligible for employment in organizations serving families, the elderly, children and youth including outpatient medical / behavioral providers, hospitals, medical clinics, schools, churches and community centers. The students will also earn an Opioid Specialization plus a Navigator certification, which makes our students better rounded in the field and more employable. The class will be a combination of teacher led and self-paced learning done virtually. Once a student has enrolled in Adult Education, they will be able to begin the course and also have access to Blue River Career Programs other resources such as career coaching, computer labs, community resources, and additional supports.
The Hope Training Academy Cyber Security Foundations course will start entry level IT and security professionals on a path of fundamental IT knowledge and certifications that will allow the student to demonstrate a baseline level of knowledge before taking our Cyber Security Apprentice program, where students build your skills with CompTIA Network+ Security+. To become prepared for a Cyber Security career, students need a baseline understanding of the most common hardware and software technologies used on the network. Our dedicated team will provide guidance and mentorship to ALL students regardless of prior skill, ability or experience. If the student is just starting their IT/Cyber Security journey they will find no better way to start than with a CompTIA IT Fundamentals course and certification, to pave the way for the A+ certification.
CDL training prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to drive trucks and buses, delivery vehicles, for-hire vehicles and other commercial vehicles, or to instruct commercial vehicle operators. Includes instruction in operating gas, diesel, or electrically powered vehicles; loading and unloading cargo or passengers; reporting delays or accidents on the road; verifying load against shipping papers; arranging transportation for personnel; and keeping records of receipts and fares. This course prepares students to successfully pass both the written and practical portions of the State of Indiana’s Class A CDL test to secure an entry level position as a tractor-trailer driver with a trucking company.
A certified nurse aide (CNA) is an individual who works primarily in long term care facilities or nursing homes. The CNA assists residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, or eating. A CNA works under the direct supervision of licensed practical nurse or registered nurse and can perform only procedures that are within the scope of practice for a CNA. All training programs are approved based on compliance with federal regulations, state rules and administrative standards. In addition, all programs are expected to utilize the Indiana Nurse Aide Curriculum that establishes the minimum course standards. The nurse aide training program must consist of a minimum of 30 hours of traditional classroom or on-line equivalent instruction and 75 hours of clinical instruction. Each lesson provides objectives, terms, content, resident care procedures (RCPs) and review questions.
This program is designed for individuals wishing to gain electrical experience. This full-time program consists of 20 weeks of hands-on training. Course experiences include, but are not limited to, residential install, troubleshooting, commercial install, conduit bending EMT, conduit bend PVC, conduit bending IMC, wire pulling, industrial motor control, Transformer work, grounding and bonding, OSHA 110, First Aid, Cadwelding, and basic financial planning. Graduates will receive continuing education and career counseling from instructors after the program as needed.
This program is comprised of “An Introduction to Applied Marketing Analytics” and “Data Visualization with Tableau.” Learners will receive training on data ethics, analysis and visualization, and work with real-life marketing case studies from companies such as Spotify, Netflix, Google, AirBnB and the Red Cross. This course teaches the learner how to use Excel, Tableau, and other tools to analyze and visualize data. Upon completion the learner is eligible to sit for the Microsoft Office Excel Specialist Certification and the Tableau Specialist Certification. This program is 100% online with weekly synchronous live lab sessions.
