Pre-Veterinary Technology

The Veterinary Technician is educated in the care and handling of animals, the basic principles of normal and abnormal life processes, and in routine laboratory and clinical procedures. Veterinary technicians work under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian in private practice, in both human and animal health-related fields, in biomedical research, diagnostic laboratories, zoos and wildlife facilities, food safety inspection, veterinary supply sales, and drug and feed manufacturing.

NOTE: This program requires that recipients file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and be eligible for Title IV financial aid. The Workforce Ready Grant is not based on family income.
