Welding Training

Welding training programs prepare individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to join or cut metal surfaces and earn welding certifications. These training programs are designed for all skill levels, from beginners to those who have some training and wish to achieve high skill levels for sheet metal and structural plate certifications. Using the American Welding Society standards, students are trained using knowledge-based assessments, workmanship sample procedures and more. At many providers, students with previous knowledge may work toward additional certifications.

These training programs emphasize hands-on learning to become skilled in many different specializations including SMAW/stick (shield metal arc welding), GMAW/MIG (gas metal arc welding), GTAW/TIG (gas tungsten arc welding) and 6G PIPE-UPHILL. Training specialization varies by provider.
