Supply Chain Management

Ivy Tech’s Supply Chain Management program prepares students to enter the workforce with the skills demanded in industry. It addresses the movement and storage of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, analysis and finished goods. Students are able to study and get familiar with the high technologies and information systems used to track goods and increase efficiencies.

Supply Chain and Logistics

This certificate provides background for students who are interested in more efficient ways to distribute and manage their products. The curriculum includes several basic subject areas such as accounting, computer software and e-commerce, operations and materials management, as well as total quality control.

Maintenance and Light Repair

This program will prepare students for entry level employment with companies that require training in areas such as: electrical systems, engine performance, transmissions, brakes, steering and suspension systems, air conditioning systems, and engine repair. Students are prepared to take industry standard certification exams from ASE and/or completion of an associate degree.

Electrical and Hybrid Vehicle

Completion leads to ASE A-6 Automotive Electrical/Electronic Systems, New H- 9 Transit Bus Hybrid Vehicle, NAFTC First Responder, and NAFTC First Responder Hybrid Electric Vehicle Safety Training, employment, and/or completion of an associate degree.

Diesel Service Technology

Students pursuing this Certificate of Graduation should be cautioned that most original equipment dealerships and manufacturers (Cummins, Freightliner, John Deere, etc.) require a minimum of an Associate degree before they will hire an employee. Employers are not only seeking the hard skills of diesel technology, but also the soft skills achieved in general education studies. Students must meet the minimum requirements in English and Math to be awarded the Certificate of Graduation.

Diesel Heavy Truck Technology

The Technical Certificate in Diesel Heavy Truck Technology can be earned on the way to acquiring the Associate of Applied Science degree. Many available jobs require advanced education beyond the high school diploma. Technical Certificate programs provide education in conceptual and technical skills for specific occupations.
